POOLSIDE
We designed, supplied, and installed a brand new diving tower out of stainless steel and HDPE decking.
The structure houses a 1m, 3m springboard, 3m platform and a 5m platform.
We provided and installed Treadmaster AFDB matting to the surfaces to create a secure, non-slip environment.
DiveGym designed and installed a bubble machine under each landing zone.
Finally we incorporated a video replay system into the building for sports analysis.
WHY
Building on the success of our previous project at Sobell Leisure Centre, we were driven by a collective vision to provide the local community with a top-tier diving facility that would inspire athletes at a development level. Wales was in desperate need for some diving pools and Bangor was a testament to Swim Wales commitment to grow diving.
WHAT
DiveGym took on the task of designing, supplying, and installing a complete tower at Bangor Leisure Centre. This tower incorporates a 1-meter and 3-meter springboard, a 3-meter platform, a 5-meter platform, a bubble machine, and a video replay system. Our comprehensive design aimed to deliver a multifunctional and development-focused diving center that meets the needs of the local community.
HOW
With our extensive knowledge and expertise, DiveGym meticulously designed a stainless steel structure that excels in both sturdiness and functionality. In close collaboration with specialists and structural engineers, we crafted the perfect framework for an aspiring diving club.
FUTURE
The Bangor Leisure Centre refurbishment shows that Wales are committed to growing their local diving programmes. Our ongoing collaboration with Swim Wales ensures that the facility will serve as a source of inspiration for local Welsh athletes, we will continue to support our Welsh neighbours to help improve diving within the United Kingdom.
