Over 40 years of history, Edinburgh has played host to two Commonwealth Games and many Diving Internationals and is now gearing up to host another.
Divegym played a large part in the layout design and installation of all diving equipment during the £40 million refurbishment of the Royal Commonwealth Pool over the last two years in preparation for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Divegym Equipment worked closely with the architects to create an general pool layout, as well as a purpose-built diving dryland area.
Within the pool area, we have supplied and installed two 1-metre Duraflex Maxiflex springboards, complete with Divegym hydraulic board lifters, and two 3-metre Duraflex Maxiflex springboards. We also fitted all the specialist no-slip matting to all platforms and stairs. as well as the installation of our specialist instant video replay system with multi camera for dive analysis . The DryDive area is situated right next to the pool with staircase access directly onto the pool deck and is complete with GM trampoline, dryboard assembly with landing mats, 10-metre long gymnastic tumble run, Divegym instant video replay system (multi camera), two Divegym diving somersault boxes, as well as an Olympic weight station. This area also has multiple wall bars and a large range of different landing mats and floor mats.
With all this equipment, the Royal Commonwealth Pool is truly a state-of-the-art facility. Refer to our Portfolio to see the newly refurbished pool in Edinburgh.
