With over 40 years experience, Divegym has and continues to be involved at the design stage of many new build projects in the UK. We have worked on the design groups with architects, structural engineers, and clients in all aspects of diving facility design.
Divegym is considered the knowledge in all technical aspects of diving equipment and we constantly work with all groups in respect of layouts and dimensional requirements; especially concerning health and safety.
Over the last five years, we have provided many of the technical requirements used in the designs of the London Aquatics Centre, Plymouth Life Centre, Southend Swimming and Diving Centre, John Charles Centre for Sport Leeds and Royal Commonwealth Pool, Edinburgh, all of which were used by Olympians in their preparation for the London 2012 Olympics.
Our involvement in design has continued through the build phases of all these projects where Divegym was the sole contractor regarding the installation of diving equipment.
We have direct links with specialist pool architects together with FINA, the world governing body, and British Swimming, in order to support our technical knowledge.
Our experience is second to none in this respect, especially with regard to Drydive training, where we have designed and installed 99% of the UK’s high performance training centres’ Drydive requirements.
